These are the qualities you will find in Home Grown, Grass Fed Beefalo from HG Ranch.
All our livestock are bred and raised on HG Ranch. No fortified grain is used. Calves are nursed by their mother until weaned at 7 months of age. After that they have free range until slaughter. Supplemental feeding consisting of: grass, oat/barley, and alfalfa hay is fed throughout the winter months. Mineral and salt blocks are available throughout the year.
BEEFALO is the only breed developed from a Native American animal-The American Bison. A fullblood Beefalo is 3/8 bison x 5/8 bovine. Beefalo produces excellent meat that is tender, tasty and lean. Beefalo meat contains less fat and cholesterol than choice meat and even lower than most cuts of chicken and fish. Beefalo is not only low in cholesterol; it is also low in fat, low in calories, and high in protein. H.G. Ranch beefalo contains no growth hormones or antibiotic feed additives.
