Located in the Lower Yakima Valley, in Washington State, Home Grown Ranch is surrounded by rolling foothills with Mt. Adams dominating the view to the West.

Established in 2006, HG Ranch raises registered, grass fed beefalo the natural way. No fertilizer, chemical, or grain is used. The pasture is seeded with a mix formulated specifically for the area. The variety of grasses in the seed, along with the cows, provides natural fertilization. Weeds around the pasture and cut, not sprayed. Cows are able to graze almost 9 months out of the year. Supplemental feeding consists of barley, wheat, or oat hay, and grass hay mixed with alfalfa. Mineral and salt blocks are made available.

Minimum medication is used and only when necessary.
