We offer several different ways to buy Beefalo.

At the present time we butcher September 17th and the meat is cut and wrapped two weeks later. We sell by the whole, half, or quarter carcass. Price is calculated on hanging weight. Wrapped meat will equal about 70% of the hanging weight. Our beefalo typically dress out at 750 pounds, which yields approximately 525 pounds of wrapped meat.

For those who have some pasture and a little experience, we sell weaned calves in the fall. Our cows are bred in the early spring and calve between mid January and mid February. The calves are weaned in September. Depending on your location, supplemental feeding of hay and minerals would be needed until the pasture is ready in the spring. Then, just watch your calf eat and grow until you are ready to put him in the freezer.
